EDUCATION
A note on education and personal motivation:
People should be self motivated to learn as much as posible, wether it be math or construction.

The flaw in public education:
No options, you can only do three things: go throught high school and college, go throught high schools, or drop out. other nations offer vocational training instead of high school. Germany has one of the best vocational training systems out there. where's that in america
EDIT-->There is the community college system in america, yet you have to go through high school to get there<--/EDIT

My issue with High school:
Many classes are set in stone (us/va gov and us hist) and you only have so many blocks, no way to take less or more classes.
No nation wide edu standard: hard on mil kids.

I looked at jjd's blog and I got thinking, why do people think supporting the troops means supporting the war. You can almost always hit dead center when assuming that some one with a support your troops sticker is a bush supporting conservitive and also supports the war, which sux(I'd like to put some thing along those lines on the car). My dad served 20 some odd years in the army; I support the troops, not the actions they are forced to do. lets get passed supporting the war because we all know there was bad intel(wether or not we knew that before hand is a different rant). I looked at my neighbors parenting techniques today and I noticed something: parents use TV as a babysitter

looking around mindsay and I see some guys dislikes and I see religion. note I'm a christian but not an evangelical or one of the crazy god wants us to kill (blank) christians. To hate religion isolates yourself to a small group of people. granted there are some fucked up religious people (cBoUuSgHh) but all religion really is, is a base for ethics and an explaination for life. why not take something in a religion and bend it to your point of view. ei: christ was a passivist and as such christians shouldn't support war (iraq). just a thought.
most of the stuff that crazy religious people do is derived from litteral interpritations(we didn't evolve even though a day to god is as a thousand years and evolution happens in the same order as creation) and dogma(which alot of the time is caused by orginized religion). I finished making my streaming site for my mp3 collection. It's really cool 'cause its able to handle multiple streams(so my friends can make their own playlists) and people can upload music to it.

I used bitchassholla and apache on my linux box. It's currently running icecast and has ices0 to handle the streaming. rachael(friend of mine) says there is a 40 second lag. but thats ok.

I was listening to tllts(is that right?) and I heard them say something about a distro called kanotix. I wont get into the tech stuff because its all on the site (try kanotix.com). It runs off of a CD and has an install option. IT HAS FUCKING EVERYTHING! including mp3 support(lacking in some distros(try fedora core, RedHat , and SuSE)) and skype. also it looks fantastic(did I use that word just then?). I'm currently using it to post right now =]. I don't plan on switching from mandriva to kanotix (yet) because It would include too much work(a full 5 minutes of work but an hour of waiting for the damn thing to install)

Rejection sucks but it makes finding true love that much more beautiful. I guess thats the lesson.
